John Rees

It is with great sadness to report that the History Society has lost one of its most active, talented and well liked member, John Rees. John’s contribution to the civic life of Resolfen has been immense, and with regards to the History Society he served as a member of the general committee and official for many years. Perhaps his most noted contributions to our monthly meetings were his marvellous illustrations advertising the event which were then given to the speaker as a thank you gift. John also had a great interest in local history and was a speaker on several occasions. John leaves an immense legacy in his paintings and cartoons but we will all miss him for his humour and intelligence. Our sincerest sympathies to Caryl, and all his family .
